Etalon Group Recognised as Leader for BIM Technology in Russia

09 October 2014

Etalon Group Limited (“Etalon Group” or the “Company”), one of Russia’s largest and longest-established development and construction companies, has been recognised at the Autodesk University Russia 2014 international conference as a leader in implementation of Building Information Modelling (“BIM”) technology for its construction projects in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

Etalon Group uses Building Information Modelling to generate and manage digital versions of buildings and infrastructure at its projects, using detailed three-dimensional models that contain comprehensive, structured information about each object.

The Company uses BIM as its core project management platform throughout a project life cycle, enabling it to produce reports and analyse projects starting from the pre-design stage, model construction plans, and continuously monitor progress, costs, safety and other parameters.

Etalon Group CEO Anton Evdokimov said:

“Etalon Group is the only company in Russia that uses BIM throughout a project life-cycle.  It is not only an important planning tool that helps us to reduce construction costs, but it is one of our key management information systems for ongoing, comprehensive monitoring of our construction projects.”
